At the Cat Doctor of Dover, we are not a one size fits all hospital and believe in compassionate individualized care for each of our feline patients. Located in beautiful Dover, NH, we are seeking a part-time or full-time, passionate cat lover, who has earned their CVT license and shares our philosophy of exceptional veterinary care to join our growing team!
The Cat Doctor of Dover provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental health care for cats, as well as comfortable (your cat might even say luxurious) climate-controlled facilities for boarding. Consultation and education for owners on feline medical, behavioral, nutritional, and zoonotic conditions, as well as end of life counseling is routinely provided. The hospital itself is purposefully constructed with cats in mind. An efficient layout provides distinctive space for examination, treatment, surgery, laboratory, radiology, dental care, pharmacy, cats-only hospitalization/recovery, boarding suites, and a comfortable and accessible waiting area and consultation rooms for clients.

As a certified veterinary technician with the Cat Doctor of Dover, you will be responsible for:
- Possessing a diploma in Veterinary Technology and maintaining current licensure (required)
Bringing a minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience (required)
Applying AAFP Cat Friendly and/or Fear Free handling techniques (required)
Performing dental prophylaxis, anesthesia monitoring, and pain management with confidence and precision
Demonstrating proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and digital radiography
Ensuring compliance with DEA and OSHA standards, while maintaining accurate records and practice protocols
Updating and maintaining electronic medical records with accuracy and efficiency
Providing compassionate, professional client service and education
Exhibiting strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail in all aspects of patient care
Navigating veterinary practice management software and Microsoft Office applications with proficiency

Don’t regret applying sooner! The Cat Doctor of Dover is located in Dover, NH—the fastest-growing city in the state—offering a vibrant community with shops, restaurants, parks, museums, and events. While cats are our passion, we also value time spent outside of work with family or friends and prioritize a healthy work/life balance. Our office is open Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with evenings and weekends off to prevent burnout. In addition, we offer:
- Salary: $22.00 - $24.00/hr. commensurate with experience
