BluePearl Pet Hospital in Des Moines, IA is seeking a full-time Emergency Service Head Veterinarian (ERSH ) who will work alongside our ER Clinicians, Specialists, and Leadership Team to ensure the highest quality medicine and services for pets and our community.

• BluePearl Pet Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa is the largest 24-hour emergency and referral center in the greater Des Moines area.
• IVRC is centrally located and easy to get to from anywhere in the metro area .
• In addition to offering 24/7 emergency medicine, we also have board-certified and residency-trained clinicians specializing in cardiology, critical care, internal medicine, oncology and surgery.

What you need to excel in this role at BluePearl:

• DVM from accredited university required.
• Successful completion of rotating internship or the BluePearl's EmERge program required.
• 2+ years of clinical experience required.
• Must possess valid applicable DVM licensure.
• Demonstrated capacity to multitask and successfully manage competing priorities required.
• Prior shift lead experience preferred.
• Strong leadership ability with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated stress tolerance and attention to detail.
• Strong ability to mentor and train less experienced Clinicians and Interns.
