We are currently looking to hire a Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Animal Clinic of Woodland Park in Woodland Park, Colorado.

• Salary: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
• Schedule: Part-time, 8 or 9-hour shifts, some Saturday coverage required, up to 28 hours per week.
• Location: 801 US-24, Woodland Park, CO 80863

For more than 25 years, Animal Clinic of Woodland Park has offered affordable and compassionate pet health care from our little red cabin in the center of Woodland Park. We take pride in caring for pets in a friendly, open atmosphere, emphasizing client education. Our doctors are trained in all aspects of internal medicine, dentistry, and surgery, and they work with clients to provide the best possible care for their pets. We primarily treat dogs and cats, but our staff also work with birds, snakes, turtles, lizards, rabbits, guinea pigs and the occasional tarantula. They are supported by our dedicated staff of skilled veterinary technicians, vet assistants and receptionists.

Who You Are:

• 2+ years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary assistant preferred
• Certification from a Veterinary Assistant program preferred but not required
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Passion for working with cats, dogs, small animals, reptiles, birds and their owners
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for a variety of species
• Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital setting
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
• Diagnostic experience including assisting with ultrasounds and radiology
