At Masterson's Veterinary Clinics, Inc. in Somerset, Ohio you will experience everything veterinary medicine has to offer. We are a well-established high-volume practice in Southeastern Ohio with two clinics in a rural setting with a wide diversity of clients and patients. We are seeking multiple candidates that can be a mixed animal doctor or who's interest is strictly in small animals. Positions available are for full-time employment. The candidate must be self-motivated, compassionate and enthusiastic about the profession and the field of veterinary medicine. They need to possess good communication and customer service skills with a pleasant bed-side manner. Applicants need to have a genuine concern for the practice profitability, clients and staff while possessing a positive attitude with a "team" mentality. As an associate veterinarian with us, your duties and responsibilities will include working with the owner and managing support staff on policies and procedures that allow us to continue to provide excellent customer service to our clients and outstanding patient care, while compassionately communicating the pet's needs with clients in an effective manner. As an associate you will perform routine procedures and see well and sick appointments daily. We encourage and require our associates to be involved in community education and community service projects such as vaccine clinics organized by the practice. We do see emergencies of our regular clients and accept new clients on emergency when able to do so. The on-call requirements of this associate position are 1 night per week and 1-2 weekends per month. Emergencies are compensated in addition to your base salary. Your work hours would consist of daytime hours, 1 evening per week and 1-2 Saturdays per month. Your on-call weekend would correspond with the weekend you are scheduled to work. Your schedule would allow you to have 1 full day off per week in addition to Sundays (except the weekend you are on-call). Our practice has state of the art diagnostic equipment including Idexx for in-house labs, Idexx reference lab, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, surgical monitors, Clientrax software and Companion Animal Laser. But most importantly we have a compassionate knowledgeable staff. Salary is based on experience. Salary package & contract details will be discussed if interested in the position.
