Veterinary Technician - Floor ManagerAlbuquerque, NM
Thrive Albuquerque is looking for a Veterinary Technician Floor Manager to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

Role Responsibilities:
Direct oversight and management of the technician and assistant team (ER, neurology, and internal medicine)
- Lead & Develop the Team: Mentor technicians and assistants, manage schedules, and foster a positive, collaborative culture.
- Coordinate Exceptional Patient Care: Oversee patient flow from admission to discharge and ensure effective triage.
- Maintain Hospital Operations: Manage medical inventory and ensure a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment.
- Serve as a Client Liaison: Communicate treatment plans and provide compassionate updates to pet owners.
- Uphold Quality & Standards: Ensure the hospital adheres to safety protocols and the highest standards of care.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Credentialed technician (RVT, CVT, LVT) highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a veterinary hospital setting, emergency and/or specialty highly preferred.
- Must have leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and staff.
- Proven organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proficiency in veterinary practice management software and Microsoft Office suite.

We are a state-of-the-art facility at the base of the Sandia Mountains, providing emergency care for sick and injured pets, as well as specialty care by skilled doctors.
