Description
Chisholm Trail Veterinary Clinic of New Braunfels is seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our growing animal care team. If you're passionate about veterinary medicine, hands-on patient care, and learning in a supportive team environment—this is the place for you!
As a Veterinary Technician, you'll play an essential role in delivering high-quality healthcare to companion animals and large animals. Whether assisting in surgery, monitoring anesthesia, or supporting urgent care cases, you'll have opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and advanced training. If you're a vet tech who loves variety—this role offers it!
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Provide high-quality patient care and assist with medical treatments
 - Perform animal handling and restraint safely and compassionately
 - Administer medications, injections, and perform treatments as directed
 - Collect lab samples (blood, fecal, urine) and run in-house diagnostics
 - Assist with surgical procedures and monitor anesthesia
 - Prepare exam rooms, maintain medical equipment, and support hospital flow
 - Communicate effectively with clients and team members
 - Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
 
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- 1+ year of veterinary technician experience preferred
 - Experience with blood draws, IV catheters, anesthesia monitoring, and lab work preferred
 - LVT a plus, but not required
 - Strong animal handling and teamwork skills
 - Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods
 - Passion for veterinary medicine and a positive, can-do attitude
