Description
F/T, P/T Veterinarians: EverPaw- Providing Compassionate At-Home End-of-Life Care
Location: Greater Chicago Area (Mobile Practice)
Salary: Competitive and based on experience and hours desired
Who we are:
We are a small, dedicated team of experienced and honest people who care deeply about making a meaningful difference. Our passion for veterinary wellness and end-of-life care for companion animals inspired us to create a new company with a singular goal: to honor the human-animal bond by bringing peace, dignity, and compassion to pets and their families during one of life’s most difficult moments.
We offer gentle, in-home euthanasia services to families in the greater Chicago area—giving beloved pets the chance to pass in the comfort of their own homes, surrounded by familiar sights, smells, and the people who love them most. We know firsthand how important it is for both pets and their families to experience a peaceful, pain-free goodbye in a private, calm setting.
At the same time, we recognize the emotional toll this work can take on veterinary professionals who provide this vital care. Providing end-of-life care day after day is incredibly meaningful—but can also be incredibly heavy. That’s why our mission extends to supporting the wellness of the veterinary caregivers who deliver this vital, compassionate care. Compassion fatigue is real, and we’re committed to addressing it with the same care and empathy we offer our clients.
It is because of this dual commitment—compassionate care for dying patients and their families and wellness for veterinary teams—that EverPaw was born. We're building a team of veterinarians who share our passion and values. And as a newer company, we offer a rare opportunity: for you to help shape what excellence looks like—for our patients, their families, and for those delivering this vital care.
What you can expect from US when joining EverPaw:
- Environment & Ongoing Support: We will provide a supportive environment for you based on your needs that always holds high standards of care for all patients and their families. Our responsive team will handle scheduling logistics, provide phone triage, have financial discussions, complete most paperwork and appointment prep, and handle aftercare coordination so you can focus on patient care.
- Training & Growth Opportunities: Continued training in at-home euthanasia best practices and the opportunity to grow your career and have leadership opportunities should be expected as you desire it. CE allotment will be provided.
- Medical Autonomy in a mobile practice setting: You have the freedom to choose the drug protocols you feel are best for your patients. We will have our recommendations if you don’t know!

We will be offering regular seminars on wellness and the importance of taking time for self care.
- Workload: 3–5 in-home appointments per day, depending on your schedule.
