Description
All Dogs & Cats Veterinary Hospital – Glenwood Springs seeks a compassionate Veterinarian to provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs and cats. You’ll diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, perform surgeries, guide preventive care, and educate clients on long-term pet wellness. Perform thorough physical examinations, obtain medical histories, and develop diagnostic and treatment plans
Conduct routine and complex surgeries including spays, neuters, mass removals, and other soft-tissue procedures
Perform dental procedures including cleanings, extractions, and interpretation of dental radiographs
Interpret diagnostic tests including blood work, urinalysis, cytology, and imaging studies
Develop and communicate individualized wellness and preventive care plans for pets at all life stages
Educate and counsel clients on diagnosis, treatment options, home care, nutrition, and long-term wellness
Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely electronic medical records and treatment notes
Collaborate closely with technicians, assistants, and client service staff in a team-oriented environment
Participate in case rounds, internal communication, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives
Help foster a compassionate, supportive environment for clients, patients, and team members
Stay current with advances in veterinary medicine through continuing education and apply best practices in daily work
Small animal medicine (canine and feline)
Physical examination and diagnosis
Soft tissue surgery (spay/neuter, mass removals, basic emergency procedures)
Routine and advanced dentistry (prophy, extractions, dental radiography)
Anesthesia and pain management
Veterinary radiology and imaging interpretation
Laboratory diagnostics (in-house and reference lab)
Preventive medicine and wellness care
Vaccination protocols and parasite prevention
Medical record keeping (EMR)
Client communication and education
Treatment planning and case management
Basic ultrasound familiarity
Pharmacology and prescription management
Fear-free/low-stress handling techniques
Team collaboration and staff mentorship
Time management and multitasking in a clinical setting
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited veterinary school
Current Colorado veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
Professional liability insurance eligibility
Experience in small animal general practice, surgery, and dentistry
Commitment to continuing education and staying current with veterinary best practices
